At least 28 private companies have pledged to invest over Rs 6,000 crore in the Ayush sector, said Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary to the Ayush Ministry. He was attending the first Global Ayush Investment and Innovation Summit 2022, held in Gujrat.
“The Ayush sector is formed to break its growth records in the next few months. Ayush ministry has obtained a letter of intent from 28 companies to align Rs 6,000 crore. This will aid to form 5.5 lakh jobs and positive impact over 76 lakh lives”, he added.
He further added various memorandums of understanding (MOUs) signed with various countries and the Ministry of Defense to establish Ayush facilities in over 35 cantonment areas across India and with the Ministry of Science and Technology to promote cross-collaboration with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for joint Ph.D. programs and mechanistic studies in Ayush.
