AN INTEGRATED & SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT SOLUTION FOR HIGH ALTITUDE MEADOWS OF DALHOUSIE

Dalhousie Ropeway Pvt. Limited is implementing and building a multimodal transportation system in Dalhousie’s Hill Station to Khajjiar (Via Chatriyara- Kutplahana- Dainkund – Pohlani Mata Mandir) to handle the city’s massive volumes of visitors, as Dalhousie faces numerous challenges, including seasonal demand patterns, mountainous terrain, and limited space.

Aerial Passenger Ropeway Transport (ART), a potential mode of transportation, might be a key component of this system.

ALL PURITY & NATURE

The initiative will deliver more stable access to the Dalhousie region’s outlying locations.

Dalhousie to Khajjiar is a 24-kilometer drive through dangerous terrain that takes at least two hours.

A three-stage ropeway will be built in Himachal Pradesh, the land of the gods and home to some of India’s most difficult motorable roads.

The Ropeway will go from Kutplahana to Pohlani Mata Mandir and Khajjiar, spanning approximately 6 square kilometres of the region’s hilly terrain.

The project would improve connection to isolated villages in the Dalhousie region of Himachal Pradesh’s District Chamba. Also, the region receives heavy snowfall in winters and gets cut off from the rest of the state. The ropeway would help in keeping the region connected with the lower areas.
