For the third quarter in a row, startup funding exceeds $10 billion in Q4, resulting in the creation of 14 unicorns


According to an industry report, the startup ecosystem generated as many as 14 unicorns in the first three months of 2022, and for the third straight quarter, they raised more than USD 10 billion across 334 investment agreements.

According to PwC India research, the creation of 14 additional unicorns brings the total number of firms with a valuation of more than USD 1 billion in the country to 84.

This is the third quarter in a row that fund inflows into the local start-up ecosystem have totaled more than USD 10 billion in new funding. According to the research, 14 firms became unicorns during the 4th quarter, with total cash inflows of USD 10.8 billion.
