Har Ghar Tiranga

Har Ghar Tiranga

The Indian national flag is an entity of national pride for every Indian. To further honor our flag, the Hon’ble Home Minister who is overseeing all efforts under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has sanctioned the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program. It is an attempt to inspire Indians across the globe to hoist the national flag in their homes.

The relationship we have established with the flag over the years has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home together as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes a symbol of not only an act of personal connection with Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind this initiative is to create a sense of patriotism in the hearts of people and promote awareness about our national flag.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday changed the display picture (DP) of his social media pages to the national flag of India and urged all countrymen to use ‘Tiranga’ as their social media between August 2 and August 15.

“Today is a special 2nd of August! As we commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, our nation is ready for #HarGharTiranga, a collective movement to celebrate our tricolor,” he tweeted.
