1.HDFC Q4 net income jumps 16 percent, with March disbursements setting a new high

Mortgage lender HDFC Ltd announced a 16% rise in net profit at Rs 3,700 crore for the end of quarter March 2022 as compared to Rs 3,180 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. 

HDFC’s board has advised a dividend of Rs 30 per share for the year ended March 2022 as against Rs 23 per equity in the financial year 2021. In 2021-22, individual approvals and disbursements increased by 38 % and 37% respectively as compared to the previous year.

Total income enlarged to Rs 12,308.46 crore in the March 2022 quarter, up from Rs 11,707.53 crore the previous year, said HDFC Ltd.

During quarter 4 of financial year 22, HDFC approved individual loans of Rs 8,367 crore against Rs 7,503 crore last year. Total individual loans sold in the preceding 12 months are up to Rs 28,455 crore against Rs 18,980 crore last year.
