Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) announced a 33% year-on-year growth in domestic sales in April. The company’s total sale is 3,61,027 units in April 2022.
HMSI exported 42,295 units for April.
The company sold 3,18,732 two-wheeler in the domestic market this year. While the company sold 2,40,101 units in the last year. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India noted that the month’s recovery was aided by market relaxations, a favorable harvesting period, and the slow opening of schools and colleges, among other factors.
“April marks the start of the positive period by a surge in the market operations and the start of marriage season. According to the previous estimation, the company anticipates double-digit growth in Q1. However, supply side difficulties and the global economic environment may continue to be a challenge in the future”, said Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director -Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India unveiled its business transformation plan in April, with an emphasis on international exports, alternative mobility and a broader entry-level motorcycle portfolio.
