Meesho, an e-commerce start-up has included 100 million transacting users on its platform in the last year, the company noticed.
The company mentioned that the transacting use base increased about 5.4 times and gross merchandise value (GMV) increased by 3 times from March 2021. Meesho has had rapid growth in the field of e-commerce in a relatively short period. We were the first to surpass 100 million active users. With approximately 80% of demand coming from tier 2+ cities, our ambition of democratizing e-commerce for all is becoming a reality, said Utkrishta Kumar, CXO, Business at Meesho.
Meesho highlighted that the seller registrations increased by 85% since April 2021 with 3 times the growth in average seller revenue. Meesho has facilitated the establishment of thousands of jobs for delivery persons as well as the success of lakhs of MSMEs online. We are developing a platform that will enable MSMEs in India to grow and increase their margins, Meesho reported.
