Nissan shipped a million ‘Made in India’ cars

Nissan is Japan’s multinational automobile manufacturer. In 2014, Nissan became the largest car manufacturer in North America and as of 2018, it’s the world’s largest electronic vehicle manufacturer. Nissan has been part of the Nissan-Renault-Mitsubishi alliance and in India, the Nissan cars are manufactured at Renault-Nissan Automotive Private Ltd’s Plant (RNAIPL) that is based in Tamil Nadu, India.

Nissan has shipped almost to 108 countries since 2010, and the carmaker recently achieved the milestone of sending a million cars overseas, that were manufactured in India at RNAIPL. Nissan’s primary export market has been transitioned from Europe to the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Omar, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain)


Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Limited is a private corporation, which was incorporated in 2007. The company is registered under the Registrar of Companies, Chennai. The last Annual General Meeting of the corporation was held in November 2021.
