Samsung India will begin selling televisions from mobile phone stores and may eventually expand to include household appliances, according to a senior executive. The trial would begin with the company’s over 1,100-plus exclusive mobile phone retail outlets.
In order to triple segment sales in 2022, the company plans to double the number of stores that sell its super-premium range of QLED televisions priced over Rs 1 lakh. It increased the business last year, according to Mohandeep Singh, Samsung India’s senior vice chairman for consumer electronics.
“Since consumers have begun to buy TV and electronics from such outlets, mobile phone retailers are eager to join adjacencies, and the company would encourage them.”, Mohandeep Singh.
If such a store would have a limited stock area, Samsung could meet the order for big dispel screen TV or home appliances immediately from distributers.
