Tata Steel is one of the world’s largest steel companies. It has a raw steel capacity of 34 million tonnes per year. It increases its net profit by 37% for the fiscal quarter ending March 31, 2022.
The company declared a dividend of Rs 51 per share and a 10 :1 stock split. The steel company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 9,835 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2022 (Q4FY22), which is 37.32 percent more than the Rs 7,162 crore profit recorded in the previous fiscal’s equivalent quarter.
The net profit of the company for the fiscal year 2021-22 is 41,749 crore. It is more than five-fold high than the previous financial year’s profit of Rs 8,190 crore.
A company release stated that the steel major registered its highest-ever consolidated EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) of Rs 63,830 crore with an EBITDA per ton of Rs 21,626.
