Nothing Phone 1 is one of the most anticipated releases this year. This may be due to the company’s marketing strategy for a virus that already works very well with its first product, Ear 1. earbuds. ahead of the official launch event on July 12. Nothing CEO and OnePlus co- Founder Carl Pei himself sees that, too. He chases the public with little knowledge of Nothing Phone, taking the talk around the device coming into his hands.
Since its launch in late 2020, the mysterious launch of Nothing – created by former OnePlus founder Carl Pei – has led to a private presence. However, its second product, Nothing Phone (1), is now guaranteed to come this summer – and is already on sale.
Due to the news that the full launch of the phone will only be invited, and will not come to the US, the excitement of some fans has almost diminished – but this is still a unique call that can undoubtedly benefit (some) from its hype.
There are already details around the phone software, feature set, and hardware to play when it officially arrives this month.
Design and hardware specs
Nothing has succeeded in the art of humor. It created an eye-catching 30-minute online event without having to say it works on the phone. During the announcement, the company mocked the design of a potential back cover, and since then, Chief Executive Officer Carl Pei has made history to ensure the company chooses a transparent background design, closely aligned with the Ear 1 design.
The MKBHD handwritten video provided some detail, confirming that the transparent background is made of glass and that the white decorative stamps contain the LEDs. They offer unique light displays based on which notification sounds you use. This should help you find out who is calling or texting you without answering the phone.
In the video, MKBHD also provides a preview of the phone. This ensures a flat display with a left-facing image camera and bezels of the same size all around. As for hardware specifications, the display should be a 6.55-inch OLED with a resolution of 120 Hz and a resolution of 1080 x 2400, although this has not yet been officially confirmed.
Later, the new providers also released a black version of Nothing Phone that we had never seen before. Make the white LED strips on the back brighter than the white version, but they are the same except for the color.
The Phone 1 will be powered by Snapdragon 778G +, which is rumored to be bundled with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. This Snapdragon processor appears to be the most advanced version of the standard variants that include wireless charging support. Previous rumors have pointed to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flag, but this will not happen if official confirmation is given.
And if we talk about the camera, there maybewe can expect a 50Mp main rear camera and a 4500mAh battery with 45W charging. It also supports wireless charging and slows down wireless charging. All in all, Nothing is aimed at a mid-range phone that performs better than the high flagship.
Release date and value
When Nothing first revealed that it was working on Phone 1, it mocked the summer release date. The company remained true to its word and announced that it would be hosting a launch event on July 12, 2022, at 11 am ET / 2 pm PT / 4 pm BST. The leak and then the launch date will be July 21, which coincides with the official release event.
Nothing further ensured that it would use the same strategy that OnePlus used to launch its first smartphone. Call 1 will only know about the invitations at first, which you should register on the Nothing website. This makes sense, considering that Carl Pei was the founder and mastermind behind the early days of OnePlus.
To order in advance, you will even have to pay a non-refundable £ 20 refund to get a ticket that will allow you to click on the pre-order button on July 12. Nothing will offer a £ 20 discount and an extra surprise for those. who chooses this route?
Nothing Phone OS
At the March launch event, Pei re-launched Nothing OS: Android-based user information that will launch on the company’s first smartphone. In Pei’s words, Nothing OS “captures the best features of pure Android, integrates the app into the essentials, where every byte has a purpose.”
It is a standardized method, following the same principles in OxygenOS user information available on phones made by the former Pei company OnePlus.
The purpose-built image icon and corporate signature font are many, with a “smooth and uniform experience” reflected in things like clockwork, continuous throughout the always-on display, lock screen, and home screen, providing great compatibility.
The OS sound design is apparently influenced by “Morse code, oscillators, and digital clocks,” while the user experience is reported to be simpler compared to UI animation, in pursuit of providing a clean and easy-to-navigate sensor.
To end the software side of things, Pei has promised three years of Android OS updates and four years of security updates, along with the summer launch suggesting that Phone (1) will come running Android 12.
If you want to hear what Nothing OS will look and feel like, you can get Nothing Launcher on your phone right now, with the beta version of the company app launcher available on selected phones running Android 11 or newer. It is not a full OS, but it will give you an idea of what is to come.
Nothing Phone 1 price
Nothing Phone 1 should be among the most affordable budget smartphones according to the prices automatically leaked by Amazon Germany. The phone will be available with 8 / 128GB and 12 / 256GB variations. The entry-level model should start at € 470 while the standard version goes for € 550.
As you can see from the US price deficit here, Phone 1 will only be available in selected markets, and the US is not among them. At the moment, the company is focused on Europe and India. Carl Pei has said that the US is a long-term goal of the company, not something we can deal with at the moment.
We’ll probably read all the remaining pieces and pieces about the phone on July 12, though it wouldn’t be a surprise if There’s no further information about the device yet — not a day goes by without further details on the challenger phone.
