Toothsi, dental technology startup has raised USD 40 million over the value of Rs 305 crore in a round of funding from a clutch of investors, including veteran banker Aditya Puri, Eight Roads Ventures, Paramark and IIFL.
The funds will be used for team building that helps for expansion into new areas and categories, said Arpi Mehta Shah co-founder and chief executive. The Toothsi has designed ‘smile makeovers’ for 1.4 lakh customers in the country since its beginning, claimed the company.
It has recently introduced self-care products such as teeth whitening and an oral hygiene product line. According to a statement, it has 2,000 partner dental centers in its network and plans to expand availability in Tier-II cities shortly.
In January 2021, the company raised USD 5 million, followed by another USD 20 million near the end of the year.
